  • The subscription has a minimum term of 12 months and then continues month-to-month after that. You can cancel anytime once the 12 months are complete. If you do choose to cancel, the website isn’t retained — otherwise everyone would cancel after launch, and we wouldn’t be able to stay in business!

  • You just have to sign a new 6-month contract.

  • If you cancel before the 6-month mark, you’ll be responsible for the full cost of the website ($3,599), minus anything you’ve already paid. We prioritize long-term partnerships with our clients and look for clients who share that same commitment.

  • Every invoice includes a 7-day grace period. If an invoice isn’t paid within that window, a $25 late fee will be applied. For subscription clients: if multiple monthly invoices remain unpaid and overdue for an extended period, we reserve the right to cancel the contract. In that case, the client will be responsible for the full standard price of the website. We’re very flexible and understanding of real-life situations, and we regularly offer help or make accommodations when clients stay in communication. However, if there’s no response or communication at all, we must take measures to ensure our time and work are compensated and to protect the business from being taken advantage of.

  • We send all invoices through Stripe, which includes a secure link for entering your payment information. Subscription plans can be paid with any major credit or debit card. For lump-sum projects, we accept ACH bank transfers to help minimize processing fees. We do not accept checks or money orders.

  • The $100 per additional page fee is a one-time charge, not a recurring cost. So if you need three extra pages, it’s a simple $300 total—not $300 per month. That would be ridiculous!

  • When you sign a contract—whether lump sum or subscription—if we cannot create a design that you are 100% happy with and you decide not to move forward, we will refund whatever you’ve paid to get started. Once we begin building the site, refunds are no longer guaranteed and are only offered at our discretion.

  • Yes, subscriptions are ongoing after the 6-month minimum. It typically takes 2–3 years for us to earn what we would from a lump-sum site, so ideally clients stay with us for at least 5 years. By then, the website is generating far more value than the $149/month cost, essentially paying for itself. We aim for clients to continue seeing the value in our work and remain subscribed so we can keep delivering high-quality service.

  • No, there is no buyout option for the monthly subscription. As mentioned earlier, it takes 2–3 years—including hosting fees—to match what we would earn from a lump-sum site. Subscriptions are designed to work best when clients stay for 5+ years, making the model financially viable for both sides. We also rely on this recurring income for stability, so we don’t have to constantly sell new sites just to cover expenses. This allows us to spend more time on building and supporting our clients’ websites, providing a higher level of service than most agencies. If clients could buy out their subscriptions frequently, the model would break down, and so would the quality of the service we can provide.

  • Yes! We offer a $50/month subscription add-on for unlimited edits and support. This comes with a 6-month minimum commitment. It’s not something you can turn on and off month-to-month. Once you end the subscription, reinstating it requires signing a new 6-month commitment.

  • The main difference is long-term versus short-term costs. With a subscription, you pay more over time, but in small, manageable monthly payments. The lump-sum option covers everything upfront, saving you money in the long run since design and development are fully paid from the start. When choosing a package, it depends on your cash flow and goals. If you prefer lower upfront costs and value ongoing support, the monthly plan is ideal. If you want to pay once and save over time without ongoing services, the lump-sum option is the better choice.

  • On-page SEO covers everything on your website—your content, page load times, accessibility, structure, and meta tags. Off-page SEO refers to factors outside your site, like link building, guest posting, and citations. With our website packages, we handle some on-page SEO, including fast load times, accessibility, meta tags, Google Search Console setup, sitemap generation, and basic content creation. However, SEO is an ongoing process, and full optimization goes beyond what’s included in a standard package. For professional SEO services, we work with an SEO specialist who manages the ongoing strategy. If you’re interested, we can discuss plans, pricing, and how it can help your site rank higher.

  • No, we do not offer e-commerce sites with our $149/month plan. Setting up an online store is far more complex than a standard business website, and due to the higher costs involved, it isn’t feasible to include it in this subscription.

  • Yes, you always own your domain. We never take hostages!

  • We typically complete a website within 2–4 weeks from start to finish. The timeline depends on how quickly clients provide the requested content and images, as well as the availability of our designers and developers. In some cases, a site can be finished in as little as 2 weeks, while other projects may take up to 4 weeks.

  • No, otherwise everyone would do that and we go out of business! However, you keep your domain and assets.

  • Yes! We don’t hold your domain hostage. Even if we purchased it on your behalf, once you cancel your subscription, we transfer full ownership of the domain to you.

  • Absolutely not! Every site we create is built with fully custom, hand-written code—no page builders. That’s what sets us apart. We take the time and care to do things differently, and it shows in both our work and our clients’ online presence after launch.

  • Our custom hand-coded websites offer several advantages over platforms like WordPress: faster load times, stronger security, lower costs, easier customization, better maintainability, and less bloat since we don’t rely on plugins for everything. You also don’t need to constantly update versions to avoid hacks—unlike WordPress, where outdated versions can leave your site vulnerable. Speaking of security, our sites have no databases or unnecessary backend systems, so there’s virtually nothing for hackers to exploit. This means your site is much more secure and requires far less maintenance, while we remain highly responsive to your needs.

  • Yes! If anything were to happen to me (the owner and operator), we have development partners across the USA who know our systems inside and out. They’ve been trained for years to work exactly the way we work and have full access to all logins and tools.

  • Please send an email to fortbendwebdesigns@gmail.com and it will go into our ticketing system where I and my team can read and fulfill them and mark as solved.

  • Our SEO specialist rates vary depending on the scope of work. The more comprehensive your strategy, the higher the cost. Generally, the minimum base package starts at $700 per month, with pricing increasing based on how aggressive you want your SEO efforts to be.

  • Yes, it does! While it might sound biased coming from us, effective SEO truly works—especially in competitive markets. If you’re up against companies with dozens of pages, hundreds of backlinks, and rankings across multiple keywords and locations, you’ll need a strong strategy to reach the first page. SEO isn’t a quick fix; it’s a long-term investment that typically takes 6–12 months to show meaningful results.

  • Nope — and anyone who promises that is selling you a dream. Unless your website was featured in major publications like the New York Times, you’re not jumping to the top of Google in a month. You’ll get calls from spammers claiming they can get you to #1 in 90 days, but if it were truly that easy or guaranteed, everyone would be number one. In smaller, low-competition markets, rankings can improve more quickly, but ultimately Google decides the pace. We can do everything right — optimize your site, your content, and your structure — but the final timeline depends on Google’s algorithm and your local competition. The good news is we have plenty of real case studies from current clients who are doing extremely well, and we can show you exactly what their timelines looked like and how their rankings grew over time.

  • Our SEO expert has a strong background in copywriting, which guides their focus on producing high-quality website content. They prioritize value over shortcuts, ensuring every page we create serves a purpose rather than adding to online clutter. As Google’s algorithms become smarter, well-crafted content is essential. They personally write all website copy, combining SEO expertise with excellent writing skills to produce content that resonates with both search engines and your audience.

In short, content is the heart of SEO. Your website should answer the questions your potential clients are asking. This approach does two things: it positions you as an expert that users want to work with, and it signals to Google that your site is authoritative, boosting your rankings. With extensive experience creating effective content strategies for a variety of businesses, our SEO expert can do the same for you.

  • Yes and no. SEO has two main components: on-page and off-page. On-page SEO covers everything on your website, like content, load times, accessibility, and layout. Off-page SEO includes actions outside your site, such as link building, guest posts, citations, and more. With our packages, we handle some on-page SEO, including fast load times, accessibility, meta tags, Google Search Console setup, sitemap generation, and some content creation. However, SEO is more than just these basics — it’s an ongoing, active process. Our dedicated SEO professional manages full-scale SEO separately from our website packages. If you’re interested in professional SEO services, we can discuss your goals, strategies, and pricing.

  • Absolutely! Google Ads complement our SEO strategies perfectly. While SEO builds long-term growth, Google Ads deliver leads quickly, helping your business see results in the short term. Our SEO and Ads expert brings extensive experience managing campaigns for small businesses, large businesses, and even Fortune 500 companies with multi-million-dollar advertising budgets.

  • Yes! Our SEO expert will use a variety of tools to identify every potential issue with your website and highlight areas for improvement. Some issues may be minor and easy to fix, while others could require more extensive work. A thorough SEO audit is always the first step in any campaign because no matter how strong your content is or how many backlinks you have, underlying problems in your site’s code or structure can limit or even prevent results. By identifying and addressing these issues upfront, we ensure your website is fully optimized and ready for maximum SEO impact.

  • SEO is a long-term strategy and investment. You won’t see results immediately. Typically, we recommend allowing 6–12 months to observe the full benefits of our campaigns, though some improvements may happen sooner. SEO is not an overnight success—it takes consistent effort and time. Many competitors have websites that have been online for 10+ years, building credibility and trust with Google over that period. As a new site, you need to establish that trust before you can compete for top positions. You can’t simply demand attention from Google—you need to gradually build authority. Over time, with the right strategy, your site can earn trust and ultimately surpass the competition.
